6/17/2023 0 Comments Gloomhaven summon rulesWhat I don't like about it is that the game is supposedly about not knowing what's going to happen and enjoying the element of surprise. He was dead before he had time to really do anything.Įasy. Then rushed in and immediately surrounded him before he got a turn and spammed everything we had. Cleared a path for the tanks, let them just run past the bad guys in the first two room (but picking up the chests along the way), use some support abilities to give them effectively double moves in one turn a the right moments, and just let the summons i left behind distract the stuff i didn't kill. I want in a second time and easily swept right threw it. It's actually not that hard, if you memorize the boss's skill set before you pick your crew and starting hand, and make sure you come with mechanisms for quickly getting through all those obstacles and traps before the last room. Or don't surround him and let him summon people nearly every single round, and it will be impossible/extremely difficult. You're seriously underestimating just how much damage your team can do on just one target even if you don't have someone like the Berserker. Make sure the people that pick up the 2 items are also going to be melee as when I won this one, I had the Music Note or the 2 Minis grab one which wasn't ideal. You have to have jump on one move, but you should do that pretty quickly anyway or have them wear the jump boots. Once you know that, the boss isn't that hard. The most important thing to know is the summoning rules. This scenario isn't even in the top 5 hardest ones in the game. ![]() It makes the idea of surprise and spoilers meaningless b cause this is unbeatable tilp after you've memorized everything that is going to happen unless you get lucky. ![]() If the rest of the game was that ridiculous I would have stopped playing after the first quest. The only way to beat this is to bring the exact right characters to counter the traps and boss abilities and also get lucky on the bosses action card draws. At least night demons require dark to go invisible, which can be mitigated. ![]() A boss who can, and will, go invisible constantly without any prerequisites is obnoxious. And I've played the one with the trees and oozes. Originally posted by Cargo:This is by far my least favorite mission I've encountered so far.
